God Answers Prayer

I was encouraged yesterday when I realized anew that God really does answer prayer! The night before, I had a hard time falling asleep. There was nothing, short of taking drugs, that I could do to sleep so I stayed up and prayed. I prayed that God would help me the next day. That He would give me energy and a functioning brain for my 10 hour work day at the church. Not only that, I asked that He give me enough energy to stay awake until at least 6pm so that I could get other things done at home. Usually, even with a good night's sleep, 6-8 hours, I am wiped out the next morning for work. But this time, by the end of my work day and with only about 3 hours of sleep, I became aware of how much energy I had throughout the whole day. Not once was I even sleepy or tired! I was able to stay up way past 6 and get everything done that needed to get done that day. Most importantly, my brain worked! It was awesome and God is good! Thank you Jesus.
