Getting Better

Not 100% yet but well on the way. Tomorrow's Wednesday so I go to the office. Hopefully no one catches my cold. I'm usually isolated for most of the day anyway. The fast is also going well. This being the last week, I've been tempted a lot to "change" my fast, exchanging the abstinence of certain foods for no Facebook instead. But, I'm holding firm. I DO love Jesus more than sweets and starches! I DO! Only 5 more days to go. I'm not giving in now. My quiet times have also been a lot more consistent. Perhaps knowing that I'll have to turn in my 3P report for work influences the consistency as well. I'm actually reading my Bible on a daily basis and that's always a good thing! Right now I'm in Genesis 22 and about to read how God tests Abraham. My goal is to read through the Bible again this year. I've done it before but it's been a while. I should do it every year. Well, small steps. One year at a time. P. Josh's message still rings in my head... "renew the mind with God's word." Pray, tithe/give, serve the Lord, change my circumstances. Stop being insane, doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
